Welcome to the Virtual Merit Badge Extravaganza offering of the Orienteering Merit Badge. All requirements for this badge will be tracked online through the mycouncil system and you will be able to pull a report directly from there to submit to your scoutmaster when complete. This class has an in person portion to complete the badge, you do not have to attend but you will only receive a partial if you do not. This event is limited in space and is a no refund event. If you know you will not be attending, please email adventure@alamoareabsa.org and we will remove you from the roster to allow for another scout to attend.  

All requirements will be tracked through the online registration system and you will be able to see that through your mycouncil account.

Links to all of our classes will be emailed out the night before the class (sometimes late), expect to have them in your inbox by the morning of the class. 

 

The in person portion of this class is scheduled for October 24th from 9:00 am to noon at McGimsey Scout Park.  The 16 scouts will be broken up into 4 small groups of 4 to complete tasks together.  Social distancing and masks are required.  Please dress appropriately for the weather, close toed shoes, and a water bottle are required.  Gathering will be at the Amphitheater.  Please plan to drop off and pick up your scout.  10810 Wedgewood Dr. - McGimsey Scout Park   You are not required to attend the in person portion but if you do not you will only receive a partial on this merit badge.
