Short Term Camp Administrator Training

The short-term camp administrator is responsible for ensuring that the planned camp they are sponsoring complies with the NCAP Short-term Camp Standards. They must be a registered Scouter who holds either a current NCAP short-term camp administrator certification issued by the BSA or holds a resident camp director certificate from BSA National Camping School. Refer to NCAP Standard SQ-403.

This training is just over 8 hours and is completed in one day on Zoom with breaks. 

Upon completion of this training we will submit a roster to National with payment and they will mail you a certification card.

This training is good for 2 years. 

This training is open to anyone, but there is a fee of $55.00 that will be sent to cover the National fee. 

If you are an approved sponsor of an event, your fee is budgeted into the event, and you will have a discount code to register free of charge. If you need this code, please reach out to Adventure@AlamoAreaBSA.org 

 

Out of Council Volunteers are welcome to attend this training.  If your council is paying for you have them reach out to Adventure@AlamoAreaBSA.org to coordinate your registration without charge.  The other option would be to pay for it and be reimbursed by your council.
